Trainer Bio

Hi – My name is Dale Bonnet. I was born in Toronto but have lived in Guelph since I was 5 years old. Baseball was my first love and as time went on other sports like basketball, football, running, biking, tennis and golf filled the recreational side of my life.

Dale Bonnet - Taking Shape

My passion for physical activity continued with high school basketball, volleyball, cross-country running, and track & field (jumping and throwing events). At this time I began sports training learning about aerobic conditioning, resistance training, and specific strength and conditioning drills. Technique training really stood out for me so I stayed involved in many of these sports after high school – coaching and playing.

At McMaster University I played intramural sports including basketball, co-ed volleyball, and flag football. Weight training had been a staple activity of mine from high school and it continued on through University and into the present.

I am an advocate for strength and aerobic training and love to bike and/or run, a little something every day, as well as lift weights 4-5x/ week. These aren’t my recommendations for everyone since your exercise routine needs to fit your lifestyle and reflect your health and fitness goals and needs.
